WHY IS PPO INSURANCE BETTER THAN HMO INSURANCE?
PPO dental insurance gives you more freedom to make sure you always have access to dental treatment when you need it in comparison to other dental insurance plans, like HMO plans. Due to the lack of deductibles and the smaller number of offices included in these networks, HMO plans may be more affordable overall. With PPO plans, however, you not only have access to a larger network but also don't require a reference in order to see a specialist or receive emergency care while on vacation. Additionally, even if those dentists are not part of the specific network of your provider, you may still be able to get some coverage.
